VelorHealth was born from a simple, deeply personal mission: to help people stay active and pain-free at every stage of life.

Our founder, John Uleim, grew up as a weekend athlete, always active and always moving. But watching his own parents give up the activities they loved—pickleball, hiking, the simple joy of movement—far too soon left him searching for a better answer. He refused to accept that slowing down and giving up was inevitable.

A Solution Built on Experience

John teamed up with trusted physical therapy mentors, talented industrial designers, and a skilled workshop that understood hardwood craftsmanship better than anyone. Together, they created the first prototype: a wooden slant board built to clinical specifications. It wasn't designed to launch a business—it was created out of necessity, a tool to help his mom squat without pain and his dad climb stairs without wincing.

From Family Tool to Growing Mission

The results were undeniable. Neighbors began asking for "that board." Local physical therapists requested batches for their rehabilitation rooms. Word spread organically, and what started as a family solution evolved into something much bigger.
